gauge 20 or 18 brass wire, fishing line, needles, and tacks can become your signature with a watermark.
tape your design (in reverse) to a piece of wood. hammer in tacks on the inside of bends. the board keeps the wire on a flat plane, and the tacks aid in the manipulation of the wire.
attach your wire to a piece of window screen so you can temporarily use and then remove from the mould
wire can be sewn directly on the mould. be sure to keep knots of fishing line on the back of the mould.
these watermarks are cause by displacement of the pulp as it forms on the mould by brass wires.  when held up to light, the design becomes more apparent. the design works best if the wires do not overlap.
